Quentin's Story
College
After graduating with a Ph.D. from Iowa State in 1969, I joined the faculty of BiologicalSciences at Northern Ill. Univ. in the autumn. Taught anatomy and physiology, zoology, upper level and nursing physiology, and finally Medical Technology at NIU. Left NIU in 1977. Live in Raleigh NC now, and am not in academics. Wife is a prof at NC State. Would be happy to hear from staff and/or students from NIU.
Military
Joined USAF on Jan.3, 1951. Left Lackland to do basic at SewartAF...Expand for more
B, TN, then to radio op's at Keesler.From there to Brooks AFB,TX with AF Security Service, then through aviation cadets at Hondo, Laredo (commissioned class 54J) and to Nellis for F-86's. Back to Harlingen AFB to fly t-29's for 3 years, then off active duty and back to college. Became a professor of biological sciences and medical technology. Kept associated through reserves, eventually left reserve activities as Captain. Live in Raleigh, NC, small business, wife is a prof at NC State Univ.
