Only in this day and age could somebody hack my quote... I just deleted some thing about "choppers" ... (huh?) I think the motorcycles in my profile here are well outside my ability to customize and weld.
The picture in my profile was taken in Yalta, when I was dating a girl from St Petersburg in 2009, when Russia wasn't a sadistic pariah under Putin.
Eventually I married a woman from Ukraine and brought her here to America. Now because of the war I have all of her family as refugees living with us in a modest size duplex.
Everybody just wants to go home though no one knows when it will happen because Russia has lost its mind trying to become the Mongol empire it was never meant to be. Stalin starved about 3 million Ukrainians to death in the early nineteen-thirties and still the Russians can't understand why the Ukrainians don't line up in loyal support of whatever imperial ambitions they might have...

Gareth Jones secretly went into Ukraine after hearing rumors of a calamity and saw what was happening and reported it. Later he was assassinated by the NKVD on the Chinese Soviet border. And only God and Stalin's secret service knows what he was working on.
I'm iving in Oregon. It is the only area in the nation that does not have self service fuel... (They say it's to encourage employment, though I have this feeling there's ideologically more to it than that) and only one of two states that does not have a sales tax. Gone... are the days of needing to know how to do the math to (maybe) know exactly what you're buying, at least here where the career base economy really doesn't have much to it except in Portland. Everything else in the state is pretty chill, and trying really hard not to either be Idaho, California, or Washington in what it does.
