Rachel's Story

Life Life moves quickly when you are having fun. In 1997 I married Clint Hollingsworth. We have two children, Steven James now 11, and Timothy Clint now 10. We are a military family. Clint serves in the United States Army. Right now we are in Ft Drum, New York. We recently returned from Germany after being there for three years. We then moved to Idaho Falls where Clint was a recruiter for the Army. Although it was nice to be near our family and to go back to the roots our family needed to be near other military families too. We moved to Ft Drum, New York on 31 October 2008. It is a big adjustment with all the snow and cold, and once again we are far away from family. All that said it has been a good move for our family. Clint and I are getting ready to celebrate our twelfth anniversary on December 19th. It has been a different year and being in the Army is a different life, but I love being a military wife. Sometimes it is rough though. I get tired of being alone so much. The boys are still doing well in school. They are definitely miliary children, seriously their ability to make friends and keep up with their classes and, all while moving so often and not having Dad half the time. I am proud of them. Tim is performing well in school here. He is ...Expand for more
turning 10 in December and we are very proud of all he does. Steven is doing incredibly well too exspecially since his dad has been gone again. Anyways Clint and I are extremely proud of both of them. Clint is enjoying his new unit here and continues to enjoy the Army. He is happy and feels accomplished, something everyone needs. He is about to be promoted finally and that is some recognition he truly needs. Anyways life has dealt us an interesting hand. Some high cards and some deuces, but no matter what has happened we have always stayed in the game and had a few good laughs and a few good cries. I am so glad to have such a wonderful family and such an interesting life. I you do not believe me or you want to know more let me know I would love to talk. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a comic idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I read a book and watch a romance and breath. This is how I relieve stress and also blow off steam. My current age is 31. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be fascinating. I was so completely wrong!. It is hard to be an adult and a mom, and still make children say awe! I share my home with two big boys, which I find squashy. I so want a new home.
