Rachel's Story

Went to high school but did poorly and lost my love of learning, then came to college and am relearning how to open up my mind. Now my dream job is teaching elementary school in the DC-Metropolitan area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) where I am now. What made me find this site is the nostalgia. Every time I have a lot to think about, I refocus by thinking of where I have been, and Kapunahala is my favorite place to go. goodness. But I may never come back to Hawai`i to live; no plans to do so. It is too expensive to live there, even if it a good place to grow up. If I become a millionaire, then maybe. So I hope all of you back home are doing your best there and dealing well with hard times and finding that family and friends are there when you need them. Hopefully you are at a place from which you can look back on the good things you've done and been given, and can move forward with faith and ambition, for you and your loved ones' sake.
