I just sent in my 1965 yearbook so everyone could have a good laugh and regain some memories from the past. I hope everyone enjoys it. Here's what has happened to me lately: My wife of 10 years passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 59. She put up a brave fight and at one point was winning against a terrible disease. A warning to those with type 2 diabetes, the risk of this cancer is particularly higher for those with type 2 diabetes. It is difficult to catch in it's early stages and it spreads agressively. Kat had a pet scan and showed nothing. 5 weeks later another pet scan showed liver and spleen tumors and still no pancreas involvement. Be careful, not fearful! I retired in June from the City of Cleveland in order to care for Kat, but she lost her fight on June 28th 2011. She was in home hospice (of the Western Reserve) when she passed with all her loved ones present. H of the W R did a wonderful job of caring for her and kept her pain free until the end.
