I loved Pit Band and Stage Band. I still have a fat lip from my trombone. In the Pit Band for "If That's Your Bag", at the end of the final performance when Mr. Foster signalled us to finish our instrumental piece, we went through it one more round because we liked his composition so much. I'm not sure whether he was thrilled or scared(hope not) that he;d lost control of us, or just surprised. He seemed to take it well. Remember getting the building ready for exams - we formed 'desk trains' taking them down to the gym, whistling the colonel Bogie March ( from the Bridge on the River Kwai").

ry team, the run uphill on North Drive was brutal. Now, my kids can't believe that I was a distance runner back then. Sometimes, neither can I.
Erindale College (now UTM)
I remember the crowded room in Colman House(Erindale College, University of Toronto) in 1972 where there was a collective cheer as we watched Paul Henderson score that famous winning goal in the first Canda-Russia hockey series.
In '73-'75 we at Radio Erindale broke the news(yes, real news) of a postal strike. Of course, we also broke the 'news' of the 'Exploding Dog Phenomenon'. We also introduced metric time, coincidentally a week prior to April 1st. Then there was the time when some of the LGMB's instruments went 'missing' for a while. And the streakers in the pub.
Fun times in a great College.
