Ramona's Story
SAD Family update
I lost my Mother, Vondessa Cash, age 87 on July 16,2008 to Congestive Heart Failure.
I steped back into a time warp and spend all of July, August and most of September back in Crystal City in the house I grew up in.
Because Dad had later stage Alzheimers and could not stay alone I brought my dad, Raymond Cash, to Sterling Heights Michigan to stay with me September 13,2008. Dad was adjusting well to the change and enjoying his Michigan Great Grand Children (my daughters 4 plus my 8 step grandchildren).
After a fall October 24,2008 Dad developed aspiration pnemonia and Passed away at age 89 November 8,2008.
Life History
After 28 years of marriage I called it quits and divorced D. Shell.
My Daughter, Elizabeth, had married a young man from Michigan so I stayed here In Sterling Heights, Michigan.
After discovering there had to be something more out there besides work and babysiting the grand...Expand for more
kids I discovered Match.com. "Lightning struck" and I found a wonderful Match and happiness.
I wed Thomas F. Van Tol on July 24, 2004 in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
I now have 5 stepchildren with spouses plus my own daughter and her husband giving me I one dozen kids. Then add 12 grandchildren from ages 27 years old through 1 year old. I finally got my large family (24+2 = 26) and Love it.
I am VERY HAPPY
Workplace
I went to work right after High School at Crystal City State Bank. Worked through six or seven name changes and mergers for a total of 23 years.
I moved to Michigan in 1991 worked at a bank here for 9 months and decided I had enough of Banking.
I changed career paths altogether and went into the Home Improvement Retail bussiness. I began by working for Home Quarters 5 years, Home Depot 6 years and currently Lowe's 6+ years. Looking forward to retiring with my husband in 2009 if the financial market allows.
