Ramona's Story
Life
I have been married for almost 21 years and have 2 great kids. I am stationed in Florida in a RED HORSE squadron so I deploy every year. I have been in the Air Force 19 1/2 years. Things have gone very well for me.
Military
The Air Force has provided me with many memories...most are good. I learned a lot especially while I was deployed. I have been to Kuwait (2002), Iraq (2003), Haiti (2004), Korea (1995 and 2006) and Qatar (2008)....Expand for more
I learned to appreciate my family during those times...there were many hardships (sometimes life and death). I went to Iraq during the beginning stages of the war (after the Army/Marines cleared it/May 2003). We convoyed from Kuwait to Iraq and lost one member...it was a stressful time but brought me closer to my co-workers and family.
I would recommend the military to anyone that wants to make a difference...to others and to themselves...
