Living with Teddy, my partner of 20+ years whom I met while working in Indonesia, and our two dogs in Colwood, B.C. on Vancouver Island. Changed to my mother's surname and came out many years ago. Over 50 years in Canada now. Completed a B.A at Nebraska Wesleyan University and then an M.A. at the University of British Columbia. Spent more than 20 years teaching at a community college mostly in the criminal justice department and volunteering on international human rights missions. Worked in Nicaragua, Fiji, the Philippines, East Timor, Indonesia, and Afghanistan. Served on the Esquimalt municipal police board for five years before being elected to Esquimalt City Council in 2008 for a three year term.
