Randi's Story

Life In November of 1999, I moved to Mesa, Arizona to live with my boyfriend, Tim (also from Washington), of several years. In October 2000, I accepted a promotion with the City of Mesa in Traffic Engineering as an Engineering Technician II. Within a couple of years I should make Traffic Analyst; and when I finish my degree, Traffic Engineer. I had planned to return to school at Arizona State University in August 2001 to finish my B.S. in Civil Engineering, but my dad got very sick last summer, so things have been pushed back about a year due to family responsibilities. In June of 1999, I graduated from Columbia Basin College with 4 degrees. As of January 2002, I have never been married and I don't have any children, but Tim and I plan to get around to these things eventually. Things are busy here in HOT and sunny Arizona. eems like there is always something to do and never enough time to do it. We go dancing at some great clubs and there are always a great concerts to see. There are tons of great restaurants (I just met Alice Cooper recently at his restaurant and he even got up and sang on stage about 10 feet from our table) and there are lots of places to shop - the outlet malls here are to die for. I think you can catch at least one major league sporting event here every weekend with the D-Backs, Suns, Cardinals, and the Coyotes - all within 15 minutes of our place. I have been back to Washington a half a dozen times in the last two years, but I haven't even had a chance to see the state of Arizona yet other than the London Bridge in Lake Havasu. I still want to check out the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and the Caverns near Tucson. Well, it looks like I have got a lot to keep me busy - at least for a little while. Class of '90 where are you?
