Randy's Story

After high school I was in the Navy from 89-90. I met my wife in '91, got married in '92 and Chad was born in '93. Chase was born in '97 and Cort in '01. Most of my work experience is in retail sales, but I am currently head of operations for Clear Choice Credit & Consulting where I educate people on how to improve their credit rating. In my "spare" time, I am very active coaching youth sports in my community. I love teaching kids. I wish I liked school more when I was younger so I would've done better and become a teacher. I am VERY proud of my family. My wife, Teri owns her own business. She is very active in our church and keeps all us guys in line. I sometimes feel bad for her because she lives with 4 guys. We have three awesome boys. Chad is 14 and is a freshman at Barlow High School this year. He is a gifted athlete who plays basketball, football and baseball. Right now, he is about 6'3" and weighs in at 225. He will probably do track in high school instead of baseball, though. (He's really good at throwing things.) Chase is 10 and is in 5th grade this year. He too is very good at basketball, football and baseball. 5'5", 135. He is quite honestly one of the nicest kids I've ever met. Cort just turned 7 and is in 2nd grade this year. He likes sports, too (sometimes). He is very imaginative and artistic and a little stubborn. I don't believe in "do-overs". everything happens for a reason. If you could go back and change things, you'd mess up everything that happened after that. DUH...Didn't anyone see Back to the Future? Or Frequency? Well, actually things turned out okay in Frequency, so that's not a good example. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by working smarter, not harder :). My first job was at Safeway, where I got paid 3.75 HR to count cans, stock shelves and bag groceries. What I remember most about it is smelling like stale beer and pop when I went home at night. Sports, sports and more sports. I coach basketball, baseball and football for kids ages 5-14. I love it. It keeps me busy. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my family. A lot of it to charity. And then I'd build a sports park for the youth sports leagues to use. To be truly happy, I would be anywhere with my family. Or court side at a Blazer's game. I currently am buying a consulting firm from my brother. Within the next two years, I hope to be able to have a staff of at least 25 working for me. My favorite things to wear are cargo shorts, T-shirt or Polo and tennis shoes or flip flops. Very casual. I clean up pretty well, though. My favorite possessions are the pictures and anything signed by the kids I've coached. And my iPod. I have over 10,000 songs on my computer and only 6500 on my iPod. It's so hard to choose...
