Randy's Story

I am going to give the short version of my story. After graduating in 76 I attended Twin Lakes Votech in Harrison, graduated from Auto, Body and paint. We (Karen, our son Shannon and myself) moved to West Chicago to work in one of her inlaws body shop. We stayed there for about 7 months(about as long as I could stand the city life) and then moved back to Diamond City where we built a house and stayed. I worked at auto body work for a while and got out of that field and went to work doing construction. Worked with a company out of Harrison doing specialty work with acid resistant epoxies and ended up traveling alot in the midwest and to the west coast. I got tired of that and also was causing marital problems so went to work for Arkansas Freightways in 1983 where I stayed until 1986. Karen and I were seperated for about a year in 1984 and divorced in 1986 at which time I packed up and moved to Fairbanks Alaska! I really enjoyed Alaska, working for A & A Roofing and Construction Contractors. I kept the materials expedited to the job sites, inventory, etc. While there I got to go Caribou, grizzly bear and black bear hunting, fished for King Salmon and just spent alot of time out doors. In 1988 I became a Christian and In the later part of 1989 felt led to move back to Arkansas so my room mate who I had met in Alaska and was from Marshall AR loaded our cars up and headed back to the lower 48's. Once in Seattle he went to California to visit friends and I stayed with relatives in Washington for a couple of weeks before heading for Arkansas. Once back in Arkansas I started attending Evangel Bible Church and met my wife Judy. She was an english teacher at the Harrison Jr High. We dated six weeks and married. We have been married for almost(will be in April) nineteen years ago. We have between us 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I worked for myself for a while and then went to work ...Expand for more
for Harness Roofing and worked there off and on for about 10 years roofing and then later became their safety director. After leaving there we bought a lodge over in Eureka Springs and remodeled it and sold it after running it for a while. We then got into a vending trailer and worked the different Arts and Crafts festivals and enjoyed doing that for about four years. While doing that we bought a business in down town Branson Mo where we are at present. It is Mr. B's Ice Cream and Deli right on the corner of Main and 65 B. We had to sell the vending business as the store takes up alot of time. My wife has just had a book published - Verses From Above and is available at Barnes & Noble in Springfield MO or on line at Barnes & Noble or Amazon, AuthorHouse or other fine book stores. We also own an online travel business that I would like for you to check out and see if we can save you some money on your travels or if you are interested in owning your own business which is very affordable.Get in touch with me and I will get you the information. We would appreciate your business. Let me know if I can help you in any way. If in Branson stop by the Parlor and say HI. Judy and I live North of Branson about 10 miles and enjoy the out doors, walking, Grandchildren and just being alive. I am truly thankful for the blessings in my life and how my life has changed. This is the very short version of my life since 1976 and I didn't go into the bad and the ugly so if that is something we need to talk about get in touch and we will talk the whole story. What I would like for you to get from the story of my life though is that with God all things are possible and that there is always hope and until we draw our last breath, things can change in the blink of an eye so NEVER GIVE UP!!!!! Is every thing perfect all the time-by no means but as long as we keep getting up there is always tomarrow.
