Randy's Story
Life
Married Barb Biesman (YHS '74) July, 1977. Divorced in 2005. Kids: Jenni and Kristin.
BS in Bus. Admin. May, 1984 from USD. I do not recommend doing the 4 year program in 3 1/2, but then I never did anything the easy way.
Moved back to Yankton for 8 years, working with my Dad at Gurney's (I could never get away from that place!) managing the distribution operations in Yankton and Henry Field's growing and distribution operation in Shenandoah, IA.
Lived in Marshfield, WI '92-'96 - loved it, but moved on for a great career opportunity. Made great friends in WI, and return at least once/yr to fish in the northern lakes.
Moved to Manchester, VT in '96 and love it. Enjoy skiing the mountains of VT. Still hunting and fishing when I can, and took up sailing in 2002; traveling...Expand for more
, friends, and spending as much time as I can with my two grown daughters.
Left VT to go sailing the Atlantic Ocean 2008 - 2009. Sailed 11,000 nautical miles, from VT to Key West, back north to Maine, then south again to the Bahamas, and finally back home to VT. An experience of a lifetime.
Returned to work as COO of a firearms manufacturing company. Now self employed as a management consultant.
My parents are still in Yankton. We get back to Yankton about once/yr.
Siblings: John in Cincinatti, Kyle in New York, Kurt in St. Louis, MO, Jane in Anchorage, AK, Susan in Decatur, IL, Trish in Loveland CO.
Children: Jennifer born '84 and now married, living in southern VT; Kristin born '86 now living in Burlington, VT. Both graduated college and making a difference in the world.
