Randy's Story

"Life” I own and manage a Human Resources & Leadership Development, Coaching, and Consulting Company, and in addition a Mediation Practice (Randy Lockhart & Associates, Behavior Leadership Development, and Peace & Harmony Mediation Services). We conduct personal coaching in leadership, self-development, career growth, family, ANGER MANAGEMENT, and career coaching. Our organization works with companies in the area of Transformational Change, Change Management, and Organizational Change. We are involved in Team Building/Team Bonding, Management Development, 360-degree feedbacks, DISC Profiles, and I am honored to have been personally trained by Dr. Stephen Covey in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Leadership Program as a facilitator. I have completed my Master's Degree in Leadership Development at Dallas Baptist University. I completed and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy- PhD in leadership focusing on servant leadership engaging followers to accomplish a vision. We also conduct anger management workshops, coaching, and development. I am honored to be working with a couple of really sharp groups in The United States and Finland who have developed a virtual ropes course. I work with them behind the scene to set up the course, monitor it, and provide feedback on completion to foster team-building and problem-solving. I have met individuals from all over the world, some of who work for the same company or organization, and have never met each other. Amazing! I am also an adjunct instructor in management classes at Texas Wesleyan University and The University of Dallas Graduate School of Management. I teach both graduate and undergraduate courses. I am married with two beautiful and awesome daughters. My wife earned her degree as a Radiographer Technologist and passed the registry on her first attempt! She is an MRI Tech who still holds her RT/CT Tech certifications at a local hospital. I spend most of my free time traveling (we ride a cruiser bike) or being involved with my family (including two granddaughters) and my two daughters. Both played Women's Fast Pitch select softball, and all three of us (myself and my two daughters are ASA Women's Fast-pitch Umpires). I also spend all the quality time I can with my beautiful granddaughters! Both are so awesome, and I find it so much fun being a grandfather! Both are now into dance, and it is amazing to watch them perform! Additionally, I head up a Santa Program (a continuation of the one many of you may have experienced in the HEB area called "Santa's Texas Team"). We still take Santa to the HEB schools and surrounding area by helicopter. It is such a joy to bring happiness to others, both my daughters, granddaughters, and my wife join me, and we all dress up to be a part of the fun. My oldest graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in accounting and economics. She graduated from Law school from the Texas Wesleyan School of Law and was a competition team member since her first year. She is now...Expand for more
an attorney and focuses mainly on corporate litigation, probate, and wrongful death/personal injury. She played for the East Texas Baptist University Lady Tigers fastpitch Softball Team as a pitcher (for seven weeks in 2004, they were ranked #1 in the Nation, DIII schools). She was on the Lady Raiders Varsity Softball Team as a pitcher since she was a freshman (four-year letterman). She was named New Comer of the Year in 1999. She is a member of the National Honor Society (I never was!!!!). She was a four-year Academic All-American. She married her high school sweetheart, who also graduated from L. D. Bell and has a dual master's degree from Texas Tech. He is employed as an architect. They presented us with our second grandchild in May of 2016. My youngest graduated from L.D. Bell played softball for the Lady Raiders as a first baseman/Left fielder (she has a powerful and accurate arm!). She is a member of the National Honor Society (again, I never was), is a Texas Scholar (need I say anything here?), and received her high school diploma and a diploma in the new International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Bell (the "Honors Honors" program). She was an Academic All-American for all four years of high school. She is very focused and analytical, with a sharp mind and interest in research. She attended Texas Tech University, majoring in food dietitian and addiction disorders. She graduated from radiology technology school and is currently employed as a Cat Scan Tech (CT Tech) at a local cancer center. She presented us with our first grandchild in January of 2011, and I am in hog heaven! She is very analytical and is a very focused individual! I am so PROUD of her!!!! She is married to a young man who is a commercial pilot, and they are an awesome couple! We thought the world of him and are delighted to have him as a part of our family. We are a VERY blessed family! In High School, I have very fond memories of good old L D Bell! I wish that I had been more involved and had made a greater effort to get to know my classmates. I was a very shy and insecure lad; however, I think I have finally grown out of that! Thanks to each of you for great and wonderful memories! (and my old Sr. English teacher, Ms. Moore, did not think I would amount to anything! *smile*). I attended Stephen F. Austin State University and majored in Psychology and Production Operations Management. I completed some post-graduate work there on an MBA and some post-grad studies on a Ph.D. through Texas A & M in Industrial Psychology. I have also completed some post-grad work toward a Master's in Organizational Management at Dallas Baptist University. I graduated from DBU with a Master's in Leadership/Management in December of 2005. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy- PhD in strategic leadership. My dissertation was structured around servant leadership. In undergrad, I worked my way through by driving 18 wheelers cross country and locally, working in construction, manufacturing plants, and even working for a logger in East TX. Life has indeed been interesting!
