Ranesto's Story
Life
My Spouse
We met in Cleveland, Ohio to help make the world a better place. Ellen is the former Manager for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program and Colon Cancer Prevention Program for Seattle/King County Dept. of Public Health.
My Pets
I have two adopted felines: Yami, a white shorthair, and Penny, a gray and white, domestic shorthair. These two really hate each other.
My Kids
I've been blessed with two beautiful, wonderful, and talented young women. Siri and Antonia have teamed up to create a successful marketing consulting business.
My Job
After 32 years of public service to the City of Seattle, I decided to retire in 2011. I've worked for the City's Dept. of Neighborhoods as the Neighborhood District Coordinator in Delridge, West Seattle and Rainier Valley. I now volunteer my time to good causes in my neighborhood and community.
Update - July 2014

rom the company, Volvo few us there to pick it up from the factory and will ship it back to Seattle at their expense.
Its now been over 3 years since Ellen and I retired from public service with the City of Seattle and King County government, respectively. We both, however, are still involved in other non-profit organizations or organizing projects in our neighborhood. After 4 years coaching the Evergreen girls softball team, I decided this year to step down to begin and learn my new role as a grandparent.
Our two girls, Siri and Antonia, have blessed us with two grandchildren - Mariana and Rafig. They were born one month apart in January and March. Both live about a mile from us. Every Friday we babysit but are on call during other days of the week, too.
In Sept. I still find time to play in a few national fastpitch softball tournaments in Nevada and this year in California. Biking and fishing with some buddies which also include consumption of pints of brew and other concoctions fill the rest of my recreational time.
