Raymond's Story
Life
Born, educated, worked and somewhere in between those things LIFE happened!! I have three (3) adult children (Kimberly - 42, Kristin - 39 and Robert - 36) and ten (10) grandchildren (ranging in ages from 7 to 18) all of whom I absolutely adore. Following graduation, my parents, sister and I moved to Nashville, Tn. for about 8 months and then moved back to Michigan. While living there, I attended Middle Tennessee State College for one semester and subsequently attended Henry Ford Comm. College as well as Wayne County Comm College in Michigan. Have stayed mainly in the downriver area since graduation (previously lived in Melvindale (of course), Dearborn, Lincoln Park, Southgate and Wyandotte) and currently live in Taylor since year 2000. hi Corporation (previously the parts making division of General Motors Corp.) where I was the Employe Benefits Supervisor. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, absentee control, attendance program, unemployment compensation, life and health care programs, company PEP vehicles, statistical reports of various kinds, hiring and firing of hourly employes and a multitude of other areas. All in all it was quite an "eye opening" experience for me as we were, at one time, the largest individual employer in the Chevrolet Division with over 7,000 hourly and 800 salaried employes in one location.
