Raymond's Story
Since graduating from New Mexico State University, Raymond (Ray) has obtained over 40 years of diversified exploration, mine development and mine operating experience. During his career, he has had the opportunity to work with a variety of mineral commodities (gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, nickel and uranium) both in the U.S. and abroad (Canada, northern Mexico, Bolivia, northern Chile, Brazil, Guyana, Ghana, Eritrea and Portugal). He has directly participated in two major gold discoveries (Chimney Creek and Mule Canyon) in Nevada, a high-grade gold-silver deposit the Trixie mine in Utah and two major uranium discoveries in New Mexico. He has also planned and guided exploration programs successfully from the conceptual (grassroots) stage through mine development and into production where he has obtained valuable underground and open pit mine operating experience.

, Mr. Irwin has served in senior management roles in exploration, including Regional Exploration Manager, Manager of Exploration, Chief Geologist and Vice President of Exploration, and he has also served on the Board of Directors for two small natural resource companies. Raymond is a certified professional geologist (CPG) in four states (Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Utah), as well as, with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, and is a member of several professional geological societies including CIM, PDAC, SEG and SME. He is also a Registered Member in the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration and by definition is qualified to serve as a Qualified Person (QP). Additionally, Raymond was, in 2010, inducted into the Hall of Fame by New Mexico State University’s Geology Department for his contributions to the field of Mineral Exploration and Economic Geology.
