Raymond's Story
Life
After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A in philosophy I was out of school for 13 years driving a cab and working as a substitute teacher in Hawaii. I stumbled into graduate school at the University of Hawaii in 1982 and earned an M.A in 1984 and a Ph.D in philosophy in 1989.
I spent 12 years teaching at 2 universities in Japan. In 2004 I retired and moved to Colorado Springs where I taught philosophy 1/2 time for 3 semesters at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

ighting (3rd degree black belt). Later she played softball as a scrappy little shortstop on the Ukujima All Stars.
She earned a degree in nutrition and worked for a while as a dietician at a nursing home as well as other jobs in the food service industry. She is constantly honing her skills as a cook and gourmet pastry chef.
Yumi and I have relocated to Honolulu. She works in a high class sushi restaurant and I work part time as an ESL teacher and private tutor.
Sadly, Yumi decided to go her own way in 2019 and we agreed upon an amicable divorce. We remain friends and get together for lunch on our respective birthdays.
