U.S AIR FORCE TOURS: JAPAN, Philippines, VIET NAM, GUAM, HAWAII, PAGO PAGO SAMOA, TRUK ISLAND, SAIPAN ISLAND, MIDWAY ISLAND, IWO JIMA ISLAND. Hired by HEB warehouse for 3 years after I left the U.S.AIR FORCE. Bachelor of Arts degree=Science Major. Degree as Registered Nurse. Worked in hospitals including Intensive care units in 5 Austin Tx hospitals, also in INTENSIVE CARE UNITS at Corpus Christi Hospital, and in McAllen Medical Center Hospital, and the Burn Unit at BAMC. Worked in Bone Marrow Transplant Units at BAMC and Wilford Hall Hosp. Worked with Heart Transplants. Also worked in the world's best Burn Unit at BAMC in SAN ANTONIO, Texas. Certified in Bone Marrow Transplant, & Oncology, & BURNS, & Critical Care Units, & Chemotherapy. Additionally, I was in the newspapers as a body builder in 1987. I turned down an offer of $500,000 for one of my books that they wanted to convert to a movie. Told agent $500,000 was not enough if my book was going to be made into a movie. I still play tennis and still work out at Gold's Gym 3 times a week. Everyday of my life after I left Brack has been an adventure, exciting, fun and AWESOME. I was ALL CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE HALFBACK IN THE U.S.AIRFORCE.. My Son=ALL District Football at Edison H.S, U.S.MARINE in Desert Storm, and business degree selling stocks & bonds & shares. Valerie, my Daughter was ALL District and All City in Track. Daughter, Mele, was All District and All City in Soccer and teaches science and math. Fort Worth, one of my 2 daughters from 2nd marriage: Teresa was All district in Basketball in Hurst Tx. Teresa got 2nd place in Texas after writing a book when she was in the 5th Grade. irl, Kristen got her SCIENCE DEGREE in 19 months . She is now teaching PHYSICS. MY life became more interesting and full of adventure after I left Brack. I am now writing my 10th book. Tell David Ramirez that the 2 room shack where I grew up at 707 Austin Street is still there. Nobody lives there. Recently discovered that my anscestors from Southern Spain arrived in TEJAS, Rio Grande Valley in March, 1691. They were trying to escape The Spanish Inquisition because they were Jewish. They travelled as group from Southern Spain then to the Canary Islands and arriving to the area around San Antonio River in year 1718. The Garza family was one of the original families that established San Antonio as a Spanish Colony in 1731. I have a copy of the land grant given to the Garza family by the King of Spain. A copy of this deed is also on display on the 3rd floor of the Library in Austin. In 1844 Rafael Garza married a widow, Maria Veramundi. Her husband was killed in the Alamo. His name was James Bowie. Rafael Garza and his wife Maria Verimundi owned the land that extended from the Alamo, to Santa Rosa Hospital to Brackenridge Park to Olmos Basin, past the area that is now 1604, including the area to the Guadalupe River. In 1845 Rafael Garza sold 2 leagues of land for $1,111, to 200 German settlers who were lost and nearly starving. The Germans named this land New Braunfels. Rafael Garza should be called THE FATHER OF NEW BAUNFELS. Without him New Braunfels would not exist. Without him, the German settlers would have starved, or would have been killed by the Apache Indians or any other native American tribe. But the prejudiced Germans refused to acknowledge Rafael Garza as the FATHER OF NEW BRAUNFELS. This relationship is in the Internet under, Rafael Garza/ New Braunfels.
