Rebecca's Story
Okay, so I took some liberty in lising the scools that I attended. I didn't actually attend GW, Alameda or Lakewood High School, but would have attended GW if my family hadn't moved to Lakewood.
I went to Merrill Junior High and Lakewood Junior High, so know a lot of people that did go to GW, Alameda and Lakewood High, and although I've hooked up with some of them, I always enjoy hearing from old peeps, and sharing a chuckle over the good "old" days.
After High School, I went straight on to College. In 1970, I took a few months off from college, and lived the life of a "hippy" in New York City. That was quite the experience, but being the responsible individual that I am, I returned to Colorado and obtained my Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
I went straight from college to working a Mountain Bell, where I worked for 28 years, through all o the company's incarntions. I worked as everything from a Technical Writer, Central Office Design Engineer and Auditor to a Wholesale Markets Program Manager. In the middle of all of that, I transferred to San Francisco for a couple of years, which I loved, but living there was way too exprensive, and I returned to Colorado once again.
I left Qwest in 2001, went back to school and became a Certified Paralegal. I find the law fascinating, which doesn't mean that I don't break it on ocassion. Unfortunately, by the time I graduated, the economy was in the can, so in an effort to find work, a change of scenery, and most of all, follow the object of my affection, in 2003, I moved to Massachusetts.
While the scenery was beautiful, the history of the area fascinating, and the experience memorable, the job market sucked and it t...Expand for more
urned out that said object did as well.
After a couple of years, I again returned to Colorado and opened my own Private Investigation Agency, which I still own. I work mainly with Process Serving and Skip Tracing. So beware! If I really want to, I can and will find you!
I basically work when I feel like it, which isn't often, so I spend a lot of time traveling. I have a time share condo in Cozumel, which I go to atleast once year o do some snorkeling, and my brother leases a house in Los Barilles, Mexico for six months out of the year, and I love to go down there and go fishing for Marlin and ATVing on the beach and in the mountains that surround the town. I also spend several weeks out of the year in San Diego just vegging by the ocean, and soaking in its serenity.
I am very involved in politics, particularly in (2008). I was fortunate enough to be a delegate to my congressional district, county and state conventions, and received "preferred" credentials to see Obama's acceptance speech on August 28, at Invesco Field.
This past year (2009), I got hooked on golf, and time and weather permitting, I am on the course almost every day. Can't get enough of it!
I am currently single and not looking. I am pretty settled in my eccentric ways, and don't know if anyone else would have the patience to deal with me and visa/versa.
I leave most aspects of my life in the hands of the Universe. It took me a long, painful time to learn that lesson, but I find that if I try to take control of my life, I usually end up screwing it up. So I go with the flow, and I am usully led in the direction that is for my highest good.
Peace to all. Friends and imagined Foes alike.
