Reed's Story
Life
I am fun, smart, distinguished, well traveled, and quite emotionally available and datable.
Workplace
Well, my family owned an Income Tax Accounting practice, so in high school, I not only brought the computer to school, but I also did my teacher's tax returns. Then I went to the Law Office of Edmund R. Lipowicz II, and rising from law clerk to paralegal, became the Director of the law office corporate department for a firm that filed more corporations than any other law firm in the State of Missouri. When that attorney died, I became Paralegal and Law Office Administrator for another Law Firm, and then did a stint as Deputy Court Administrator for the Circuit Court. After I graduated as a Regents Scholar from the University of the State of New York (Albany) with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, I was elected by write in ballots to a municipal legislative position in 1984 for a Bristol County, Massachusetts Town of 30,000. When I moved back to the Kansas City area, I was nominated by the Missouri Republican Party to run for the Missouri State Senate from Jackson County, MO in 1988 and 1992. In 1998, I was nominated for the County-at-Large Office of County Executive of Jackson County, MO, which is similar in scope as the Mayor of the County, but. except for the municipal legislative race that I was elected to in Massachusetts I was defeated by the Democratic incumbents in Missouri. In 1992 I was appointed as a part-time Judge for a state agency in the Executive Branch of government under the administration of the Governor of Missouri. For my public service contribution, I now serve as a Supervisory Judge for that Missouri State Agency and also serve on the Board of Commissioners of the Volunteer Fire Rescue Squad, as the Presiding Commissioner. I was acclaimed as Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year 2001 and was accordingly honored by unanimous Resolution of the Missouri House of Representatives and also by a Proclamation issued by the Governor of Missouri with respect to my selection as Fire Chief of the Year by the Missouri Council of Fire Protection Associations. In the private sector, I remain a LegalWizard for corporate matters and also real estate pr...Expand for more
actice, being licensed in both Missouri and Kansas as a Real Estate Broker. I also teach the Real Estate core law class for Blue River Community College and Kansas City Business College. Like Judge Judy and Judge Wapner or Judge Leroy Brown, I do conduct contract dispute hearings under the auspices of the General Arbitration and Mediation Tribunal as an Arbitrator, in which capacity I am authorized to enter money awards of unlimited jurisdiction in the alternative administration of justice that are enforced by the state and federal civil courts. I am now considering a Missouri political race for the United States Congress and having discovered an existing Act of Congress authorizing a federal canal yet to be constructed that leads to the State of Missouri, I have recently proposed extending the exising canal that links the Gulf of Mexico with the Tulsa Oklahoma area, via the McClellen Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System that includes the Verdigris Canal. The proposed General John J. Pershing Canal would honor a famous Missourian and would be a canal extension from the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, be a federal waterway that I propose should form the state line between Missouri and Kansas, terminatind in the Kansas City area, which would have the effect of mingling the waters of the the Missouri River and the Gulf of Mexico. If the new canal and its associated residential lakes and recreational, lakes and its also public water supply and agricultural water sreservoirs and wildlife wetlands are constructed, the KC MO area can enhance its position as a World-Class City by enjoying ocean-going ship traffic via the federal waterway and canal that was first promised but never constructed that by virtue of a public law is obligatory on the part of the United States to construct to benefit the State of Missouri, as was duly enacted on March 6, 1820.
Military
I enlisted first in the US Naval Reserve, and then enlisted in the regular US Navy. I was stationed at the Great Lakes Navy Base just North of Chicago, Illinois and was honorably discharged as a Seaman with the National Defense Service Medal and the Cold War Victory certificate of appreciation signed by the US Secretary of Defense.
