Regina's Story
We moved around a bit growing up. My father helped to build, repair and maintain golf courses.
I was born in Chattanooga, Tn. I grew up mostly in north Ga. I went to Boynton Elm 1st thru 3rd grades. Tunnel Hill 4th thru 6th. I then went to Ringgold Jr. High for the 7th grade. We moved to Hot Springs, Ar. during the summer before the 8th grade. I went to Lakeside middle for the 8th. I started highschool at Lakeside and continued until about midterm 10th grade. At that point we moved back to Ga and I attended Dalton high for the remainder of the 10th and 11th grade. After the 11th I didn't go back. I was having a hard time dealing with family issues and I truly hated the school I was in. I got my GED right after I turned 18.
I did what all my friends did. I got married and started a family. School and career were put on hold. I have 4 amazing children and the most wonde...Expand for more
rful grandchildren. I know I took the right route in life. My children are now grown. I'm divorced, again. I started college a few years ago. I have one degree and have almost completed another.
I don't really know where life is going to lead me. I do know that it's meant to be lived forward. There are many things in my past that I could have and probably should have done differently but regrets never changed anything.
If you knew me from school, you knew me as a geek or a nerd. If you look up goofy in the dictionary you will find my high school picture. That's ok. I'm still a geek and a nerd. I've just come to embrace it.
