Workplace
I found a job minutes after graduate school, although it seemed like it would be a short-term temporary job. In fact, I stuck with it, and it took me down a different career path. I worked for 17 years as an in-house demographer for the Administration at Yale University. In 1999, I left my Yale job and started consulting to other private universities...Expand for more
and colleges. It's been almost 5 years and my consulting is still going well. I help colleges understand their own populations -- students, faculty, alumni, etc. I also do admissions consulting (for the colleges), which came in handy when my own daughter applied to college. My work mutates regularly - wonder what I'll be doing by the time of our next reunion?
