Rhett's Story

Life Wow, Where do I start. I left Michigan in April of 1980, and moved back to Texas where I am originally from. Got married, and fathered two children.I have lived the entire time in Tyler. Working as a carpenter/ cabinet maker. The kids are grown now ages 31and 29. No Grandchildren yet. I got the chance to come back to Sanford in December of 2005. It was really good to see the town, lots of snow, something I haven't seen too much of in Texas. he Red Oak Lounge, which was my first real job, washing dishes. I Drove by the high school, saw a sign in someones yard that read DNR damn near Russia! That cracked me up. I thought to myself, all us rednecks don't live in the South Workplace I am a self-employed carpenter, and have been for 34 years. I do mostly finish work. I find this type of work is very rewarding, I like to be able to look back at the end of the day, and see what I have accomplished . Not having to punch a time clock is a plus too. I have a Cabinet shop that I am trying to get turned into a money maker. It is coming along well.
