Life My First Spouse I met him in grade school. We went together all through high school. He is a heavy equipment operator for the same paving company that I work for. I lost the love of my life on Nov. 26, 2004. Richard had battled Multiple Myeloma for 5 years. He put up a tremendous fight, now he is home with our Lord. We miss him so much, there is such an empty place in our hearts. We continue to try to fill that place with the wonderful memories that we have. My second spouse: I never thought that I could love anyone again, God knew better. Life is amazing, when God closes a door, he really does open a window. I married again on March 11, 2006. His name is Dan Flowers and I have known him for a couple of years. He works at Tigard Sand and Gravel, office dispatcher and manager, where I work when I am not out with the paving crew. Dan and I had become best friends over the last year, just talking and being ourselves at work. Neither of us had any thoughts of dating or falling in love. He had been divorced for 9 years and let everyone knew that he was never getting married again. I was still dealing with the lose of Richard and couldn't imagine ever falling in love with someone else. God puts us where we need to be, and he put me in that office with Dan. He is kind and caring, has a wonderful faith in God, handsome, funny, and musically talented. He is wonderful. We had our first date on Dec. 7th, first kiss on Dec. 11th, got engaged Jan. 13th, and married on March 11th. Our daughters thought that we were moving to fast, (he has two also, Zandra born in 82 and Karadee born in 78) we knew that it was right. All of our daughters were in the wedding, it was beautiful.
