Richard's Story
Life
I graduated from high school from Taylor High School, Taylor, Wisconsin in 1950 After 3.5 years aboard the USS Saipan CVL-48. (SK2- Supply- Repair Parts) I attended the University of Minnesota. I graduated with a degree in Science Education in 1958 and completed a graduate degree in Education Administration in 1963. Since then I have completed 50 college credits beyond the Master's Degree.
I taught Biological and Earth Sciences in the Minneapolis Public Schools for 31 years until 1989, and I have taught another 16 years since that time. Currently I am coordinator of the student driver training program for the Richfield, MN s...Expand for more

I have been married to Janice George since 1958. We have 4 biological children and one adopted Korean child.
My wife and I also own a lake home in northern Minnesota and look forward to using it in our future retirement.
I have had a quadruple bipass.( You don't know how lousy you felt until 6 months after the surgery) and I have had cancer surgery to remove cancerous moles on my head. Both of the operations have been 100% successful and I would encourage anyone who has to face either of the above conditions to not fear the medical procedures involved.
Life has been a fantastic adventure!
