Richard's Story
My story so far takes place all over the world it seems like. After high school, I moved on to Marion Military Institute for two years of college. I definitely have some fond, and not so fond memories of the place, but it definitely was fun.
I then moved out on my own until about March of 2001 and decided to join the active Army. After 13 months of Army training in Satellite Communications and Satellite Network Control in Fort Gordon, GA, I was stationed at Fort Buckner, Okinawa, Japan from 2002 to 2004. As it was my first time out of the U.S., it definitely was different, and was fun, despite one or two negative people that were there! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
After Japan, I was stationed back in Fort Gordon until February 2005, after which, I was honorably discharged from the Army. I already decided by that time to go back to college and use my Army college money to pay ...Expand for more
for it. Despite having two years of college, I basically was starting over again, because at the time I attended MMI, they were not accredited by the state, so I ended up only having enough credits for a semester and a half.
Since 2005, I've been at The University of Alabama, graduating May 2010. Yes, I know, I've been here a while, but I've also changed majors alot. I went from MIS to OM to EE to AEM and then back to OM. I've also been in and out of wanting to do pre-vet or pre-med, so that's taken some time too. However, it looks like I'm done in May!
My plans for the next five years basically are to either find a great job, or go to grad school for my Master's/PhD/Law degree. We will see how that works out though, since I'm still applying to schools!
I'm still single, unfortunately, no kids, never married! Hope the single status changes sometime soon, but hey, you never know!
