Richard's Story

August 14th, 2018 was the 25th anniversary that Sandra and I have been married, never thought I would say that. Also never thought about being with a girlfriend/wife for more than half of my lifetime AND I still don't know why she hasn't killed me, yet! LOL I am still a metalhead, after all these years, but my tastes in music has evolved to the point I will listen to pretty much anything, although I still gravitate to thrash/metal/punk/heavy goth/ prog rock and prog metal. I have found a deep passion for motorcycling, which has supplanted my passion for bicycling since I have developed joint pain in my ankles over the past 10 years. I still cycle and in-line skate - its just that the ankles don't love me for it. Sports are a large portion of my enterta...Expand for more
inment, although being involved in sports is not something I get to do physically, now. I am getting older, too, so maybe it is not something I will be able to do much more of, but I look forward to spring again to see if I can ride my bikes again. Maybe I will try to ice skate again and see how the ankles handle that nowadays - if they don't rebel too much, I may buy a new set of in-lines and even a new set of ice skates for the next winter. There are not much blades left of my hockey skates, but they have served me well for years and years, I have to remember how to make the gel maleable again so I can reshape it to fit my ankles now, after getting damaged over the past several years, but I want to hit the ice again. Anybody out there still ice skate?
