Richard's Story

Military Joined the Army in 1968 after graduating from St. John's University. Did my basic and advanced traing at Fort Dix in New Jersey. Then, I completed the Infantry NCO School at Fort Benning, GA on March 31, 1969, my birthday. I went to Fort Polk in Louisiana f...Expand for more
or some OJT (On the Job Training) before heading for Vietnam in July of 1969. I left Vietnam on June 11, 1970, the luckiest man on earth. I saw combat there and met the greatest guys in the world. It made me who I am today. Thank you God for letting me come home.
