Richard's Story
I am a college prof at State University at New York (SUNY) at Fredonia. I've spent 40 years as a college prof. I have a PhD in Econ. I lived 10 years in Oregon; 3 years in Georgia; 20 years in Kentucky; and now 12 years in NY. Time goes by fast. I am grateful to have survived, and miss old friends from WHS: Jim Conway, Dennis White, Bill Sacardo, Bob Gonnella, Dick Grout, Jim Logan, and so many others. I lived with Saccardo and Gonnella in Somerville for a while before moving West to Oregon. A few of you (classmates) visited with us in Somerville, and maybe even survived the visit. om Wellsley, I and my wife MaryAnn, did some diving off Key Largo last Summer. Paul has always been a dear friend from the time we were 5 or 6 years old. I've been very happily married for 25 years to MaryAnn, who has been my partner in many great outdoor adventures. I am certainly interested in how Wakefield evolved over the years. I still have many family members (a large family) in the Wakefield area. I do keep in contact with some great long-term friends from Stoneham and Melrose, but I wish I had continuing contact with so many more. I can be reached at SUNY Fredonia..
After I moved to Oregon in 1971, I met so many friends who also journeyed there, friends from the Wakefield area. Many of us moved to the " great promised land." Anybody still there?
