Richard's Story
Where am I? Beaumont, Texas
I have a new grandson. 8{D
What do I do? I work in one of our many refineries as an industrial carpenter.
Former Director of the Texas State Field Office for the American Anthropological Research Foundation.
I'm a former member of the Oklahoma Academy of Science.
I co-host/host one, soon to be two, internet radio talk shows about cryptozoology/crypto-anthropology, politics, religion, ghost hunting, and various other subjects.
I'm considered one of the top "Bigfoot" researchers on the United States.
This year (1 March 2008), I recieved an honorary Knighthood for an article I wrote (and barely remember) about the causes and effects of poverty on a failing educational system.
So, while it is truly an honor, I have to laugh about being Sir Richard Dean Van Dyke, [KtGC]OBE. For those wondering...Knight of the Grand Cross, Order of the Black Ermine, by the Peers of the Brotherhood of Saint George, a Royal Victorian Order.

r lives...Mrs. Riley.
"Whoda thunk it, huh? Ain't that some fecal matter?"
That's about all there is for me...any who wish to contact me, may do so through the American Anthropological Research Foundation website, or at vandyke-helbert2012dotcom .
Yes, due to our ultra-conservative political views, Jim Helbert and I were asked to run for office in 2012. Though we realize our chances are slim to none, we do hope to raise public awareness to the wrongs being committed by those in office. We flipped a coin, I lost. I'm the one who gets shot at first.
Now, smile and remember that every day is a good day...some are just a little better than others.
UPDATE: As of 5:28 a.m., on 03 April 2009, I welcomed Alexander Wesley Morgan, weighing in at 6lbs. 3 ozs., into the world...compliments of my daughter Chelsea and her husband, Doug. Thanks Guys! He's a keeper!
UPDATE: As of this date, 03 November 2012, I am back after spending a year in Northwest Montana, the last year and a half fighting a sudden allergy to peanuts, and working in the refineries. LIFE IS GREAT!!!
