Life
Dick Wintermantel helps leaders around-the-globe focus strategy, align organizational capability, and build passionate commitment.
Wintermantel is uniquely experienced. He worked within organizations to support significant transformations for more than thirty years and under admired leaders such as Jack Welch, Bob Galvin, George Fisher and Hector Ruiz -- culminating at Motorola with Vice President recognition.
DickÂs current consulting practice is built on principles he has distilled from his own success in enhancing effectiveness -- individual and organizational.
He designs and facilitates meetings for leadership teams to envision the future they will create, then to define and prioritize the strategies to get there.
He consults on aligning organizational capability, on developing future leaders, and on strategy-driven human resources systems--including leadership development and succession systems on which he is a world-class expert.
He speaks about passionate commitment and transformational leadership, as well as the future of the Human Resources profession.

He has chaired the US Conference BoardÂs Organization & Management Council, is published on organization change, strategic human resources management, and building organizational capability, and some of his concepts are reported in Judith BardwickÂs In Praise of Good Business.
A graduate of General ElectricÂs Corporate Management Development Program, Dick worked within five G.E. operations, as well as corporate headquarters. At G.E. and subsequently at Motorola, Dick led Leadership Development, Organization Effectiveness, Executive Succession, Organization Design, Workforce Diversity, Recruiting, Assessment and Testing, and Technical Training, as well as compensation, union relations and employee communications.
Dick Wintermantel holds an AB (Economics), and a Doctorate of Law (University of Virginia). He earned admission to Virginia's Bar.
