Rick's Story
So my story is that I just wrapped up a long run in the radio biz. If you listened to So Cal radio since the 80's, you probably heard me at some point. I have loved radio since I was a kid (and my parents freaked when I expressed interest in being a DJ). It was a helluva ride - lots of late nights and bad coffee but all worth it to meet people like Alabama, Jan & Dean, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Healy, and others, A very fun business, can't believe I got paid to play around on the air for 30 yrs. blications director for a medical university for almost 25 yrs., recently retired. Never thought I'd be married (too much of a weirdo!) but coming up on 36 years of married bliss to my hunny (whom I guess must also be a weirdo) and I met in 1977 at Knott's Berry Farm. No kids - just did not want to continue the madness, LOL! Looking forward to retirement and travel, getting back on the motorcycle (if I still remember how to ride) and cruisin' into the sunset.
