Rick's Story
Life
I remember mostly very good times and people from High School. I really enjoyed my time and friends from Band and church -
My Spouse - I met her at a Bible Study at Calvary Chapel of Visalia. After 4 years of acquaintance and getting to know each other better, and a one year engagement we were married.
My Kids - Wow! What a BLESSING (most of the time) to be a Dad! Now, I have grey hairs...
My Current Job - My boss is a slave-driver! (i.e. Self-Employed...)
Past Employment - Disc Jockey, RollerTowne, School Bus Driver, EMT, Paramedic, Police Officer, Firearms RangeMaster, Medical Disability (85-88), Computer Repair Technician, Network Engineer, Data Network Design Consultant.
Current Hobbies- I am a certified instructor and still teach firearms safety to kids and others, also general Safety Awareness. I believe in the Constitution (as originally written, not altered by the courts), and words such as TRUTH, HONOR, LIBERTY, FREEDOM. I believe we owe those who defen...Expand for more
d our freedoms (military and veterans) a debt that we shall probably NEVER fully repay.
Music - Although I spent all four years of High School in Band, I don't actually PLAY music anymore, unless electronically. I still enjoy a wide variety of styles and forms.
Friends- I was closest to my friends in High School. School, Band, TVP, we seemed to have so much in common. IF I were to have any regrets, it would be that I have lost touch with so many of my friends over the years. I (or they) have been too busy with work, life, and stuff.
Life Lessons I have learned -
1) Don't be afraid of change.
2) Don't be afraid to ask the TOUGH Questions.
3) Value people more than STUFF.
4) Time is short, make the MOST of every opportunity.
5) Admit when YOU are wrong (Everyone else already knows it.)
I guess my reason for checking out ClassMates occasionally is to get back in touch with old friendships, and let folks know I still think about them. (and NO, I am not selling anything...)
