I was married to Clara Christine Rambold in 1976 while I served in the RCMP at Dauphin, Manitoba (see my Work bio). We have 3 daughters - a graphic artist/tech designer, a teacher and a nurse.
We have 4 Grandchildren from 2 married daughters.
Clara, my love, friend and wife of 42 years was taken by cancer in January of 2018!
My hobbies include photography, music and stamp collecting.
My skill set includes computers, computer networking and photography.
I am an active e-biker, swimmer and kayaker. Walking is currently not in my schedule as I contemplate my second knee replacement.
I recently survived prostrate cancer having caught it early after 15 years of monitoring!

Workplace
I joined the RCMP in 1971 and served in Manitoba until 1988 at Amaranth, Jenpeg, Dauphin, Winnipeg and Shoal Lake. During these years I was serving as a general duty officer and for 8 years as a Drug Investigator and Drug Intelligence Analyst.
Transferred to Dawson Creek, BC from Manitoba in 1988 and then to Nanaimo, BC in 1993. During these years I was a Forensic Identification Specialist (Crime Scene Analyst & Photographer)
I was promoted to Corporal in 1988.
I retired from the RCMP in 1998 with 27 years service. I then worked at the Nanaimo RCMP Detachment for 13 years. I was a Novell Network Administrator (computer networking) & Exhibit Property Clerk for the detachment (managing all the evidence) for that period of time.
The RCMP awarded me the Long Service Medal, the Bronze Star with Clasp and permission to wear the Scarlet Tunic Uniform.
