Richard's Story
Life
My life has certainly not been dull so far! I have really explored and I'm still exploring my interests and talents.
In high school, as some of you my remember, I was involved with Music (Drums and percussion), Drama "Charleys Aunt" (Sir Francis Chesney) and ":A Man for all Seasons" (Cromwell) and sports (Track/ High
Hurdlers (School Record). Since High School I have pursued interests and professional careers in the Arts and Medicine.
I have several Associate Degrees and work in the medical field now part time.
I also have a career in music performing in bands (Drums/Vocals); I have a band called "Main Attraction". I'm involved in Radio as a DJ, MC and Voice over Specialist also have performed as a Comedian in many venues such as the Punch Line and Tommy T's. I have also been Acting professionally since 1986 and have had numerous roles in TV programs, Industrials, Commercials, Theater and numerous Independent Films, most notably was "Julie and Jack", also with Tippi Hedren (The Birds).
Check out "In The Eyes of a Killer" I have a supporting Role in the Movie:It stars and is directed/produced by Louis Mandylor playing Jack (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) also with his brother Costas Mandylor (SAW IV,V & VI ) playing Congressman Donaldson and James Marshal playing The Sheriff (A Few Good Men & Gladiator with Cubba Gooding Jr. Also Gwendolyn Edwards as Gwen: She co wrote and Starred in (The Last Confederate) with Tippi Hedren and Petri Hawkins-Byrd (Judge Judy) ... who plays Clarence. The Movie has won 8 awards at film festivals I've also been cast in the Movie "Eavesdropper": I was in the play both in SF and LA (Longest Running Play in LA): I played 3 different Roles.
Also the Cheessy Cult Horror Hit "Birdemic" ( Just Released on DVD and Blue Ray ) Also Birdemic2 The Resurrection World Tour: Sequel to the Cult Hit Birdemic Shock and Terror: I reprise my role as Dr Jones! and famous (Yet :) but I have been enjoying the pursuit of artistic endeavors.
I'm also very concerned socially and politically about many issues facing all of us, such as the environment, education, prosperity and most important the Health and Welfare of our people. I went through a 6 month ordeal with my Father being hospitalized under the Veterans Health Care System where my father was transferred 20 times and suffered from miss treatment or the lack of treatment and finally passed away under neglectful circumstances on 4/18/04. So now, I have an even more vested interest in making people aware and the medical profession and government and elected officials accountable for there actions and there policies.
Enough of the serious Stuff.
I'm still looking for my Soul Mate. I have had several serious relationships but for various reasons they haven't worked out. An Artists life is somewhat different from the average (not to say its better), just different.
So, who knows, I do believe in Destiny (in fact I have a Movie Script entitled "DESTINY": It's a Fantasy Romance with Karma, Past Lives, Reincarnation and Soul Mates: It could be the date movie of the Decade !).
So God must have a plan for me that is still being revealed.
Here I Am, still learning, still experiencing, still pursing hopefully the best Ideals in life.
