Rina's Story
Life
I was a student athlete in H.S. (1980-1984) and was on the Swimming, Basketball & Softball teams. I was also a member of the FVHS Concert Choir under Mr. Jerome Swanson.
Joined the Air Force National Guard in 1984 after graduating H.S. and became a Law Enforcement Specialist with the 126th Security Police Squadron stationed at O'Hare Airport. Honorably Discharged in 1988. While there, worked side by side with my Brother (Robert) in the same Security Police unit.
Spent several years (1985-1993) at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying Liberal Arts and Health, Physical Education & Recreation. Sang in "Two Soldiers", a first-run of a new Opera at CLC with several other members of the CLC choir.
Elmhurst College alumni (1993-1996). Graduated in 1996 with my B.A. in Physical Education. Played softball for Elmhurst College in 1994 and worked as a student trainer for several years. Became a member of the Delta Theta Pi Sorority in 1996, my last semester at E.C.
Was a Cantor/soloist with the St. Constance (Catholic Church) choir from 1992-1997. Was also a choir member and soloist with a professional choir in Chicago cumulating with singing the National Anthem at a White Sox game in the spring of 2005.

e theater at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois, performing multi-funcitons within the theater including some acting, crew work and Assistant Directing. Love this theater thing and don't ever want to leave it! What you can do for an audience when you work in live theater makes every second of every (unpaid) rehearsal worth the effort!
Still looking for a good-paying "career" job. Getting incredibly tired of working for people who make all the money, but are wholly incapable of doing the work to earn it. I do the work, they make the big salaries. No thanks to me... It has become quite the theme in my career, unfortunately, so it's time to move forward again and get my Master's Degree. I'm hoping to begin in a program next fall... time and circumstances will tell. Unless I win the lottery or land a rich significant other, I'll probably update this some time next summer! :)
Single, never married, no children but a lovely Niece and wonderful Nephew through my brother, Robert (Bob) Satkiewicz (FVHS Class of 1980).
Still dreaming of my horse ranch in Tennessee, Oregon, Washington..? Can't make up my mind which of several states I love the best!
God Bless! Hope everyone is well. Wish you all the best -- may all of your dreams come true!
