Rita's Story

I go out with friends......dinner or maybe to a club. Dancing is always a good way to blow off steam. One funny thing I did the summer before my freshman year at drill team camp....I had brought smoke bombs. We were all staying in a dorm building and while we had some free time I decided to light one off. Well that set off the smoke alarms and everyone ran out and I ran out with the smoke bomb in hand. When I was outside I threw it into the bushes. No one knew who did it or what set it off except for the senior captain that I was rooming with. Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. The biggest surprise in my life was finding the love of my life at such an early age and being able to spend almost 17 wonderful years with him. The best gift he gave me were my 4 beautiful children. My heroes are my Mom and Rudy. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my backyard and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be some where I would feel comfortable. If I'm going to school or somewhere, I need to have a bottle water, and my Palm (phone) to be able to deal with the day-to-day. What I've learned as a parent is to be strong. If I won $100 million, I'd give a good amount of it to my Mom, then spend the rest on my children's college fund, my dream home and I would love to start a non-profit organization of advocates for parents with special needs children. My current age is 32. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be mature. I was so completely wrong........ My career aspirations is to become a speech pathologist. What happened to your first crush? I don't know what happened to him...Expand for more
....never saw him after 7th grade and I'm glad I didn't. Looking back I can't believe I could like such a jerk and he was too short!!! My best friend would tell you I'm......(Not telling), but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy and innocent. Still dress like you did 20 years ago? Talk style. I hope my style has changed for the better from 20 years ago. It's definitely very different from what it was...thank God! LOL But I do wish I had kept my New Kids on the Block t-shirt. :) I share my home with my 4 children, which I find perfect, but at times like living in a zoo. Lol You get one do-over. What do you do differently? I would have not gone to the medical magnet school and insisted on going to the arts magnet school instead. In 10 years, I hope to be a working speech patholigist. I'm going to get there by continuing what I am doing now, going to school. Talk about your oldest friend—how you met and why you clicked. I met my best friend in high school our Jr. year. She didn't like me at first, but I won her over with my charm lol.... We really didn't click at first and don't know how it happened but she ended up being my maid of honor, godmother to my 1st child and now is my sister. Love you... :) My first job was at Fashion Fox, where I got paid about $400.00 every 2 weeks to work on the sales floor. What I remember most about it is that I would spend almost half of my paycheck on clothes from the same store.. I always wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea idea. As it turns out, they were far... off track.
