Rita's Story
In April 2007 I was diagnosed with a disease called Spinal Sarcoidosis and have been off work since then. I was recently approved for Social Security Disability. In the space of one year I have gone from being totally independant to spending my days in an electric wheelchair and dependning on others for things I used to take for granted. It has truly been an eye opener!

ion. I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.65 GPA while going to school fulltime and working fulltime too. That is something I am quite proud of! After I graduated my employer of 12 years offered me a big promotion and raise! I was quite excited about that but my new disability is preventing me from it at this time. I do miss it but my concentration is now focussed on trying to get my disease under control.
