Rob's Story
Life
I've been working in payment processing for Amazon.com way up in Seattle since June of 2000. I pretty much monitor the health of the system so when you buy something, Amazon gets paid and you get your stuff. I'm also responsible for helping to identify and implement new payment methods.
Other stuff - *Very* single (all I do is work about 10 hrs a day then go home and sleep - only people I interact with are from work - most of whom are nerdy software engineers who are more awkward socially than even me; I also tend to fall pretty easily for co-workers - which tends to get me nowhere - right now that happens to be the nice young lady I share my office with - God help her). My parents don't live in California anymore - they are in West Linn, Oregon now. Erin (my sister) lives in SF and is a Registered Nurse (pediatrics) at UCSF Medical Ctr.
College - went to UCSB. Graduated in a mere 4 1/2 years with a BA in Business Economics/Accounting and minor in Sports Management (a whole lot of good that's done me). Highlights of college - got to meet Micha...Expand for more
el Jordan (he has a basketball camp every summer there), the Lakers (including Shaq, Kobe, Magic Johnson) - they had their traning camp there in 1999. Other highlights - getting wasted pretty much every weekend, Isla Vista, the State Street bars, hot SoCal women who wouldn't talk to me at all.

and last but not least - all of those people who I happen to bump into on the few occasions that I'm back in Aptos - which isn't often enough.
Other than that, my social life pretty much revolves around people from work (including my current crush - who tells me to quit annoying her), and college friends, who are scattered between Portland, Oregon and San Diego, with most in LA and San Diego.
