My parents are (Linn) Phillip Foster & Barbara Lynn Foster. I have a half-sister on my dad's side. (Lisa D. Foster) My parents were resident managers at the Magnolia Manor Apartments in Magnolia. I lived there until I was 3 years old. We then moved to a large run down house near Greenlake (N.E. 61st St. & Latona Ave. N.E.), where I met my best friend at the time. (Jay Waxon) Jay lived across the street from me. My parents sent me to a private school. (Northwest Montesorri) I went there for Preschool, Kindergarden & 1st grade. For 2nd grade, I went to public school at Greenlake elementary. It was just a few blocks away from home. I met my first girlfriend there. I cannot remember her name. She lived a block or so closer to the school and she decided that I would be her boyfriend. We held hands as we walked to school. It was very cute. She and many of my friends moved away after that year. I believe that the Seattle schools started busing that year. I was bussed to Wedgwood Elementary for 3rd grade. Due to my "excellent" reading ability I took a test to get into the Horizon Program. I was in that program from 3rd grade through Middle school. It was generally for kids too bright for regular school, but not at the genius level of 'IPP'. For 4th & 5th grade, I went to Leschi Elementary school. I was in a portable classroom for 4th grade and inside the main building for 5th grade. They have since torn down the building and built a new one. I started to play the Trombone in the 4th grade and quit after about 3-4 years in college. In May of 1980 my family moved from the house at Greenlake out to Lake City. My parents still live there. I went to Washington Middle School for 6th through 8th grade. Most of my friends at Washin...Expand for more
gton went on to go to Garfield High School. I went to Nathan Hale High School which was much closer to home and I did not need to be bussed any more. In fact, before I learned to drive I ended up walking home most of the time. My mother had been a student teacher there in Home Economics. My Aunt and Uncle had both gone to Nathan Hale as well. They were in the first class whose entire High School career was at Nathan Hale after it was built in the 1960's. After I graduated from High School in 1988 I went to the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. I had taken drafting classes in High School and thought that I might like to become an Architect. I was soon convinced that I should rather become an Engineer. I started out in Mechanical Engineering. I soon found out that the math that I would have to take was way over my abilities to comprehend. I changed my Major to Human Resources Management. After a rocky first year of bad grades and severe homesickness, I eventually got into the rhythm of school. During that time I took some classes during the summer at the University of Washington and North Seattle Community College. After graduating after 5 years in 1993, I went home to live with my parents and got a job with and Insurance company (PenCorp...or something like that). A summers worth of selling Insurance to businesses door to door was more than enough for me. I got my Real Estate License and started working for my parents at Quorum Real Estate Property Management, Inc. in Magnolia. I worked as a Property Manager for many years. My parents gently eased me out of their home and I got an apartment/triplex on Queen Anne Hill (14th Ave. W.) with a friend of mine. (Ron Mendoza) Thatwas the summer of 1994. I met my wife (Jessica Foose) on line. She was from Sheppton, PA. and was going to Juniata College. We got married and she moved in to the apartment in May 1998. Ron moved out soon after. We had our first son (Kevin Linn Foster) at the end of September 1998. My parents bought a house a block away from them at the beginning of 1999 and the three of us moved in February to the house. We live there still with another son (Michael Kenyon Foster) born in March 2001. Kevin & Michael Started Preschool/Daycare at Amazing Kids Christian Daycare. Kevin started Kindergarten at Broadview-Thomson Elementary and Michael two years later. Kevin and Michael changed schools to North Beach Elementary for 3rd grade and 1st grade respectively, but went right back to Broadview the next year. Kevin just started at Eckstein Middle School this year. Jessica is working for Children's Hospital researching Cystic Fibrosis.".
