Robert's Story
While I did not graduate from Coronado High School, I consider it my high school of choice. I do so because I spent seven years in that school district. I move to Pensacola, Florida after my 10th grade year and finished at Escambia High School (that's right the school of Emmitt Smith). I really never got to know the kids there because I was a bit shy and wasn't there long.
After graduation, I joined the Navy to keep from being drafted ( my number was 82...I was gone!). Spent two years on active duty and still did five months in Viet Nam.
After I got out, I went to Pensacola Jr. College and The University of West Florida and got my degree in Physical Education. I have beeb teaching school for the past 30 years at ...Expand for more
Escambia Chrstian School where I now teach Bible, Earth Science, Civics, and Physical Education. For 25 of the 30 years I coached Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball. Had a pretty successful career at that.. but don't miss it now.
In 1975, I got married and we have been together now for 32 years, and are working on number 33. We have a daughter who lives in Charleston, SC there are no grandchildren yet.
I don't see retirement in my future yet. We just bought a new house (thanks to Ivan) three years ago, you know how the mortage thing goes... so it will be a while.
In the past I have communicated with Nathan McCain, Dennis Smock, and David Lassiter about what is going on in our lives, would love to hear from more.
