Robert's Story
Life
I grew up in Watsonville.Graduated in 1981 from WHS. I also graduated from Cabrillo College in 2003 with an AS in computer science. In 2007, I received a certificate of completion from San Jose State University for Purchasing and Suppy Chain Management .Worked at Seagate from 1983 to 2000. Wolfe Engineering from 2000 to 2009. I am currently unemployed. A victim of the slow economy. Divorced with two children. Done lots of travel.
Yes, I am the one that is extremely involved in the class of 1981 and multi-year reunions for Watsonville High. Best high school in the world. Go Catz!!! watsonvillehighreunion dot kom. I'm also the current president of the WHS Boosters.

fter I was let go from the job that I had for over seventeen years. I finished up in 2003. It was hard to juggle family, work and everything else.
I also attended classes at San Jose State Professional Development Center.
I'm currenlty attending San Jose State University.
Workplace
I worked at Seagate Technology for more than 17 years. Unfortunately, they discontinued my department and I was let go. Life goes on though. I became a buyer/planner for a semi-conducter company after Seagate. I was in that business for over 8 years. I currently am an instructional aide at a middle school and work in the physical security field.
Military
I joined the Air Force in 1982. I was only in for three weeks. I was discharged due to chronic shin splints. A medical condition that actually persists today.
I really don't have very fond memories of that time period. Drill sergeants yelling and so forth. I do remember being released and hanging out in a bar in San Antonio for about 6 hours until the bus arrived. I spent a total of 2 days on the bus back to Watsonville.
