Robert's Story

OK Classmates, here's my story.... After high school, I went to WCC and there one great professor suggested that I look into Pratt Institute. I was very interested in construction but didn't want to go to either engineering school or architecture school. They have a great Construction Management program that is terrific and really enjoyed going there. During the time there, my first passion in life, drums, got in the way of things :) My dear friend Johnny Andriani was writing some great songs and together we made some great music. Through 6 years of trails and tribulations, we managed to land a major recording contract in 1994 with EMI Records and...Expand for more
toured and made a CD with a rock legend. At that time I worked for myself as a home improvement contractor. We had an amazing run for a young band, and then the label had their own plans. It was then that I returned to Pratt and completed my education. Since then I've had an interesting career as a construction manager, working in the greatest city in the world :) The most rewarding part of this field, in addition to seeing the projects completed and understand how it all goes together, is that the diverse group of people, ranging from millionare owners to the laborers who clean the floors, and everyone in between. That's what makes this job fun.
