Robert's Story
Life
Since graduating from Fremd, I received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1980 and an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. I became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 1994. I am now working in the IT audit area at HSBC Finance Corporation (formerly Household International).
I married my wife, Donna (nee Banfield, Main West - 1984) in 1989. We have a son, Rob, who was born June 11, 1995. We also have two daughters who we took in as foster children on June 29, 2001 and adopted on July 12, 2004: Amanda (born ...Expand for more
July 16, 1998) and Tessie (born August 26, 1999). Much to our surprise after four years of unexplained infertility, we had another son born on July 7, 2002. His name is Kurt.
I completed a three year term the Board at our church at the end of 2003, but I am still quite active in the music program. I play bass, guitar and trombone as well as sing. The music is primarily contemporary. As a result of my participation, I have started composing music, primarily for use in contemporary worship, and posted it on line.
