Robert's Story
Life
I started high (secondary) school at Davenant in England. My family emigrated to Costa Rica in 1982 after I took my O-levels. I finished high school there at the Country Day School. I went to university in the United States at Virginia Tech. I started in electrical engineering but changed majors to industrial engineering after two years. urg. I met my wife-to-be (Michelle) in BLacksburg in 1993. We married in 1993 and moved to Wisconsin. We stayed there for one year. Since then, we have lived in Virginia.
Workplace
After graduate school at Virginia Tech, I taught industrial engineering for one year at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I accepted a managemnet analyst position at the Virginia Department of Transportation in 1994. Over the past 14 years, I have held five positions at VDOT. Fourteen years down, 16 to go!
