Robert's Story
Life
After graduating in 1979, I went to Potomac State College for two years ( 1979 - 1981 ) playing football and trying to major in engineering. Going from an all black high school to an almost all white college was a culture shock. I've learned judging people on their merits and not their skin color was most important. After leaving Potomac State in 1981, I transfered to West Virginia Tech. I joined the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity in 1982. In the summer of 1983, my first son, Bobby, was born. d for the Department of the Navy and the U.S. Postal Service for 22yr until my retirement in 2005. I had additions to my family 3 more children: Raven ( 1998 ), Jayden ( 2004 ), and Silvia ( 2007 ). Their mother and I raise the children together. Right now, Raven and Jayden attend school while Silvia remains at home.
I finally decided to enroll in school and finish up my college degree. I enrolled at Florida Tech University Online. My major is Computer Information Systems. I plan on finishing this time. The classes are compressed into eight week seesions. This keeps me busy all the time. I'm glad I've made this decision.
