Life- If you don't remember me, you may remember my parents. Both of which taught at Cigarroa. My dad taught at the HS, my mother at the MS. They and my sister are still down there. Me? I got the hell outta that dusty, hotter than hell, cliché of a south Texas town just as quick as I could... Life is good these days. Hate my job, but living out here in the Texas Hill Country, just outsida Austin is a dream come true. I've managed to land a little 1200 sq ft house just 5 block off Lake Travis and only a couple blocks from Willie Nelson's ranch- Luck Texas. I've made some incredible friends out here where everyone's quazzy famous and ridiculously talented. Life has made me very fufilled. I've done and seen a great many things. I've swung from the chandeliers and slept w/ the lions. Even settled down and I'm happily becoming plump and sedate, BUT I can't slow down enough to touch the ground. I live here, in Briarcliff, with my bud Gary and our two dog, three ferrets, slew of cats and all the other critters that call our, tad over an acre, home. We have a herd of over thirty deer that feed in our backyard. I'm an overzealous gardener with eyes bigger than my stomach. Slowly but surely I'm theming my yard to reflect the caribbean homes that I miss everytime I come home from vacation. I do love the caribbean! Speaking of vacation, I have bought into two vacation plans off the island of Sint Maarten in the Netherland Antilles (Dutch West Indies). It's absolutely incredible out there. Like Laredo by the Ocean; it's a desert of cactus and huisache just like back home, only the beaches are a paridise of coconuts palms and hibiscus and other tropical delights. Surrounded by multiple French & English Islands, Sint Maarten is half Dutch, half French. I spend most of my time on the Dutch side in Phillipsburg, but being only 32 sq miles, the entire island is a playground of brightly painted houses with Ducth inspired gingerbread dripping from the eaves.
