Robert's Story
I was born and raised in Scranton. I went to Robert Morris school in Green Ridge. I lived in the plot on Dean Street. After grade school I went to North Scranton junior high followed by Scranton Tech. I graduated on 6-12-1962. After graduation I hung around the Scranton area for the summer.
In September of 1962 I went to Kenilworth New Jersey to work for Monsanto Chemical Company. I stayed in that area until the summer of 1963 when I moved back to Scranton and hung out for the summer. On August 29th 1963 I joined the US Army for three years serving one year in Korea (1964).
When I got discharged August 29th of 1966 I moved to Pennsville New Jersey to live with a friend of mine from the Army. I got married on May 14th 1966, 3 months before my discharge. I married Carol Slagan from the Scranton area, class of 1964. We had three children together before divorcing in 1979. Although we actually split up in 1974. While we were married I worked for Heinz, GM and finally Atlas Chemical in New Castle, Delaware. I stayed single until I met my present wife on October 15th 1977 and we dated and lived together until we married June 16th 1984 and had two children.

away at the age of 5 in October 1992. Reason unknown. Other than that hugh set back in our lives we are very happy together. I retired after 34 years with Atlas-ICI-Unichema-Chemical Company in August of 2000 and have enjoyed spending time with my family, most of all my wife. We travel when we can and just enjoy our time together. My wife passed away on January 5th 2010 and I miss her very very much. She was the world to me and my best friend along with the most caring person I'd ever known.....I miss you hunbun.
Some friends/classmates/neighbors I remember by name are...Jim and Jack Goodline...Ray Belaski...Paul Cadden...Bill Hogan...Doris Kossman...Paul Decker...Bob Griffin...Joyce Quinn...Linda Heatherton...Sharon Cauliflower...Gary Morgan...Jim & Artie McHale...Thats all I can think of right now but I will add to the list if I remember anyone. Also I would love to purchase a 1962 Scranton Tech yearbook. I gave mine to a classmate that lost their money to purchase the book and would have got into trouble. Anyone that has a yearbook and wants to sell it you can contact me via email or if you just want to contact me as an old friend/classmate/neighbor thats fine also.
