ROBERT's Story
Robert is from Hays, Kansas. Robert's high schools include, Stockton High School, and Hays High School. After a year of college at Fort Hays, Robert enlisted in the US Army, and after two years of enlisted service, Robert received an appointment to the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY (Engineering). Upon graduation in 1968, Robert attended Airborne School and Ranger school, and was assigned to the Berlin Brigade in Berlin, Germany. And in 1970, Robert was reassigned to the 101st Airborne Division, in Viet Nam, where he commanded an Infantry rifle company. After VN, Robert was an instructor at the US Army Ranger school in Fort Benning, GA. Robert was then assigned to Tulane University where he received an MBA in 1974, and then was assigned to the Pentagon. In 1978, Robert resigned from the Army, but stayed in the Reserves. Robert and his daughter moved to California, where Robert worked in the health care field. Robert attended night law school at Santa Clara University. His studies were interrupted in September 1990, when he was recalled to active duty for Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, In 1992, Robert received his Juris Doctorate, and started his own law office. Robert retired as a Colonel from the US Army in 2003.
Robert's avocation is equestrian activities. He has ridden in 19 Rose Parades in Pasadena, CA. He Rode for 15 years with the Sacramento Sheriff's Posse and 20 years with Long Beach Mounted Police and presently rides with the Arizona Rangers. Robert judges horse shows all over the US.
Music Robert likes includes Cowboy Jubilee with Judy James, Kristyn Harris Music, Tommy Allsup, and anything Western or old Country. TV shows Robert likes include Speaking of Horses, RFDTV, and NCIS.
On 10/10/10, Robert married Belinda Gail, "America's Western Sweetheart". Belinda is a professional singer/songwriter/touring performing artist. She sings all over the US, but mostly in the Southwest. They lived in Prescott, AZ with two palomino horses and a mini-Australian Shepard. In August 2018, Belinda and Robert moved to Magnolia (Houston area), Texas. Robert's daughter and her family live in Tampa, FL; Belinda's children live in California & Georgia.... they try to schedule Belinda's concerts to include trips to see grandkids.... Belinda, almost every year, performs at Silver Dollar City, in Branson, MO. This year (2018), she'll be there the last week in Sept and the 1st week in October.
